Ukraine Independence Day – Know About 24 August Special Day

Ukraine Independence Day takes place on 24 August and it marks Ukraine’s protestation of independence from theU.S.S.R. in 1991. History Of Ukraine Independence Day

The Soviet Union dissolved in the 1990s and on July 16, 1990, the Ukrainian government declared state sovereignty. Time latterly, July 16 was recognized as Ukraine Independence Day. In August 1991, there was an achievement to restore the communist rule in the Soviet Union, but it failed.

Over 80 of the electorate suggested in favor of independence, with 92 votings yes. In June 1992, congress suggested a correction to the legislative, and July 16 was replaced by August 24 as Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Parade

Generally( but not every time) independence day is celebrated with a military cortege held in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Since 2019 no service cortege has taken place.

According to a 21 October 2020 decree by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy 2021, a military cortege will be held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.

In 2021, Ukraine celebrated the 30th anniversary of its independence with three days of events. A company from Lviv developed a special 30th Anniversary totem and a new award known as the” National Legend” was blazoned, to be presented in a form on August 22.

It was also blazoned that the first Summit of the Crimean Platform would take place on August 23.
